Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Schedule: 10 hour shift

Work Location: In person

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the establishment and enhancement of analytical laboratory procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive instrument service logs, including calibration records, troubleshooting, repairs and service calls to vendors.
• Ensure a clean and organized laboratory environment is upheld.
• Offer support to fellow Lab analysts during their absences.
• Provide analytical support to the Chemical Plant, Mill and Underground Operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement of analytical methods, including method development.
• Undertake additional tasks related to Assay Laboratory functions as required, including the analysis of R&D Samples.
• Assist the Lab/Quality Manager in inventory management, SOP updates and audits.

Qualifications

• Complete familiarity with Assay Lab analytical procedures
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• A commitment to fostering and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Proficiency in maintaining the maintenance requisites of analytical instruments and related software.
• In-depth understanding of the analytical requirements of Chemical Plant, Mill and Underground Operations.
• Ability to handle multitasking effectively, perform basic math and chemistry calculations accurately.

Education/Experience

• An asset: Prior experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Preferred: Post-secondary degree in chemistry or related discipline.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Site located at Bernic Lake, MB: must be able to reliably commute to site and commute from Lac du Bonnet, MB or surrounding communities. (required).
• Valid drivers license
