The Company:
Our client is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, privately owned Canadian co-manufacturing / private label food manufacturer. Constantly innovating and having the ability to be adaptable and agile to customer needs, they have tons of potential to expand beyond USA and Canadian Grocery Retail, and into Food Service, Hospitality, QSR, Convenience & Gas channels etc.
The Opportunity:
They Key Account Manager will oversee a growing book of about 5 National Accounts in USA and Canada. Is responsible for current account management as well as new business development and expansion. Endless possibilities for someone who enjoys prospecting and wants to gain National USA and Canadian multi-channel Food / CPG sales experience with accounts like Loblaw, Walmart, and more.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
• Effectively builds, implements, measures and refines programs to maximize growth and return on investment (ROI) for assigned accounts.
• Prepares compelling, fact-based and customer focused presentations that clearly highlight
opportunities and action plans for customers’ business.
• Develops creative plans to meet customer strategies that include brand in winning position.
• Develops, in collaboration with customers, Private Label and Custom products to specifications to further grow/enhance the relationship.
• Establishes and maintains superior relationships within assigned accounts and customers.
• Effectively negotiates with customers to achieve mutual business objectives.
• Lead the ongoing tracking of program effectiveness with appropriate measures to ensure effective execution.
• Provides ongoing communication to all stakeholders that builds alignment with account objectives.
• Summary report required after every meeting with stakeholders (external and internal) regarding next steps or actionable items.
• Sets up and maintains all projects, presentations in One Note and monitory to ensure times are
being met by all stakeholders.
• Develops strong brand and product knowledge: marketing positioning, value and target consumer.
• Remains current on market analysis, competitor analysis and market trends.
• Attends customer events, industry conventions, trade shows, etc.
• Brings new opportunities/leads to the attention of management.
• Supports data/insight gathering and reporting – internal/external
• Monitors and communicates customer business plans results for assigned accounts.
• Develops, runs and communicates monthly sales performance dashboards/scorecards.
• Work on special projects and other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
• Works collaboratively and professionally with management and colleagues.
• Works collaboratively and professionally with customers, account managers, key decision makers within key accounts.
Qualifications & Competencies:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in direct sales environment, preferably CPG, Food, Beverage or Private Label products.
• Account Management experience negotiating with customer's head office is an asset.
• Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office), particularly with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Customer focus/Results driven.
• Demonstrates ability to understand customer needs and apply appropriate solutions.
• Takes personal responsibility for decisions and delivering results.
• Demonstrates high sense of urgency and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrates strong negotiation, presentation and analytical skills.

• Typical office environment, good working conditions, exposure to moderate office noise. External site visits require travel by vehicle.
