Junior Service Engineer Jobs

Hevvy and Toyo Pumps North America is a Canadian-owned pump manufacturing and distribution company located on the Fraser River in Coquitlam, BC. We are a family-owned and operated business that has been operating for over 40 years. We are looking to hire a Service Engineer for our growing Canadian team. The Service Engineer is a fundamental position within our company as they are responsible for pump testing and repairs, generation of manufacturing drawings and technical documents, creation of bill of materials, and updating processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist advertising literature etc. for technical accuracy and product liability.
• Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing and Service Departments and will include troubleshooting and problem-solving at customer sites.
• Continuously analyzing and improving drawing tolerances to reduce machining costs and improve assembly fits.
• Communicate to customers with updates on repairs
• Co-operate with sales on new or special product development.
• Prepare accurate technical drawings and layouts for the new and existing Toyo products.
• Write and produce technical product manuals.
• Any other duties as deemed appropriate
• Assistance in the preparation of engineering proposals to appropriate customer groups.
• Work with operations department to manage repair schedule and delivery times
• Cooperating with Project Manager for special orders
• Adhering to ISO 9001 standards and keeping all documentation up to date
• Perform any other functions for Engineering Department as required.
• Prepare and distribute service quotes
• Manage all service and repair pump orders through Syteline
• Implement the standardization of the Bills of Materials, Maintenance and Operation Manuals for the complete range of Hevvy/ Toyo pumps, including submersibles, verticals, cantilevers, and horizontals, as well as any new products added to the Hevvy/Toyo line.
• Help with RMA reports and repair analysis/troubleshooting on as needed basis.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

· Recent Grad- 3 years experience in engineering (preferred rotational experience)

· Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Manufacturing or BSME

· 2D/3DCad experience

· Ability to read drawings
