Junior Engineer Jobs

Jade Acoustics Inc. is currently seeking a Junior and Intermediate Engineer to join our team.The position will be based out of the Concord/Vaughan office. We welcome applications from new graduates for this full time position in the junior engineer position. New or recent graduates in civil, mechanical, structural or environmental engineering are encourage to apply.

Intermediate Engineer applicants should have experience in acoustics, specifically consulting engineering.Our team members have engineering backgrounds from a variety of fields including: civil, structural, environmental and mechanical.

No prior knowledge regarding acoustics is required for the junior engineering position.Intermediate Engineering Applicants should have 3-5 years consulting engineering experience in acoustics. The responsibilities of this position will cover all field areas of development and construction.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

-Review Architectural drawings and grading plans

-Site visits and inspections throughout Southern Ontario

-Sound measurements throughout Southern Ontario

-Maintain computer programs and measurement equipment

-Report writing

-Project management

-Co-ordination and collaboration with clients and project team members

Qualifications:

-Completion of a university engineering program in engineering or physical sciences

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills

-Strong computer skills (i.e.; Microsoft office)

-Strong analytical skills

-Ability to multi-task and work on a number of projects concurrently

-Proficiency with spoken and written English is required

-Valid Driver’s License and vehicle (Driving record may be requested)

-Ability to work and be self motivated in a remote office working environment.

Additional qualification that would be an asset but not required

-Knowledge of AutoCAD, Matlab, FEA programs
