One of our clients is looking to hire an IT Operations Analyst on permanent basis.
IT Operations Analyst – 80%
▪ Manage their field of expertise by providing advice, support, information, and training to users.
▪ Provide second level support for tickets, incidents and requests that have been escalated from
level 1 support
▪ Set up, administer and operate the IT resources and systems ensuring they are consistent, secure,
and of the highest standard
▪ Implement and follow-up on IT Operations projects (servers, network, PC) for all Canadian plants
Incident Management – 20%
▪ Supervise the incident management process to restore normal service operation as quickly as
possible to minimize the impact to business operations
▪ In charge of Problem Management (PM) process in order to permanently resolve problems that
may have been identified during Incident management process
▪ Drive/lead activities with Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) scope, both internally at Nexans
and together with partners of choice
Required skills and qualifications
▪ A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
▪ Minimum of 5 - 7 years Information Technology experience
▪ Thorough knowledge of information systems theories, practices and technical concepts relative
to business systems, hardware, and network infrastructure
▪ Travel requirement between Canadian sites. Approximately 15%
▪ Language skills: Fluent English
▪ ITIL training – certification preferred
▪ Experience infrastructure operations
▪ Experience in Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
▪ Experience in MS Active Directory Administration (Users, GPO, Printers, etc.)
▪ Experience in Microsoft SCCM
▪ Experience with PC Installation, image, etc.
▪ Experience in Networking (Switches, Access Points. Firewall)
▪ Experience with structure network cabling – it will support to coordinate vendors in the factories
▪ Manufacturing experience IT and OT
▪ Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
▪ Ability to provide general information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and
other customers in a professional and pleasant manner
▪ Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary; organize job functions and work
area to be able to effectively complete varied assignments within established time frame
▪ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral
and diagram form.
