Job Description

Inventory Analyst


PURPLE was founded in 2017 at the intersection of industrial design, streetwear, and luxury fashion. We are currently seeking Inventory Analyst to join our in-office team in Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Inventory Analyst will be responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity by performing daily discrepancy investigation and analysis. This role requires a strong aptitude for data analysis, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of inventory management principles.


Responsibilities include:


  • Take necessary actions to resolve inventory issues and adjust as required.
  • Proactively anticipate inventory discrepancies and address business needs accordingly.
  • Process returns to vendor requests and manage receiving activities.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies (book to physical), performing root cause analysis to identify underlying issues.
  • Project the demand for different channels.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on assigned projects.
  • Manage and coordinate cycle counts, including physical counts, to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Analyze and generate reports on inventory count data for relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure smooth inventory management.
  • Provide support to team members by assisting with ad-hoc reporting and analytical activities as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve inventory accuracy goals, gaining acceptance from stakeholders.

Requirements:


  • Advanced experience working with NetSuite and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Business or accounting education background preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in the industry or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize duties, multitask, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced/proficient skills in Excel, including expertise in functions like "VLOOKUP" and "SUMIF" and the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, critical thinking, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS and MC Office software.
