Position Overview
As the Inventory Accountant you will be responsible for assisting with revenue accounting for the Advanced Technologies operating segment, asset accounting, and inventory accounting. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to apply your problem solving and collaborative skillsets to initiate and drive processes forward with both accounting and non-accounting professionals. You will perform inventory accounting duties such as costing, variance analysis, and month end or ad hoc oversight. note

Responsibilities

• You will collaborate across departments to understand processes to produce saleable goods and design standard costs of overhead
• You will perform month end cost accounting including variance analysis and reporting
• You will continually analyse and assess production costs for budgeting and capital expenditures
• You will assess new contracts for proper revenue accounting treatments under IFRS
• You will work alongside the project management office to ensure appropriate project setup and that cost estimates remain up to date
• You will analyze and report on projects recognized over time to project leads and management team members

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an Accounting related function or role
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or equivalent designation will be considered an asset
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar related field or amount of experience
• Prior experience working with SAP
• 2+ years of experience with inventory accounting

Additional Requirements

• You must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
• You must have the ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
• This is a hybrid opportunity that will report to our Saskatoon, SK office
