This role sits within LBC Tech a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank.

The incumbent will participate as a core team member throughout a project's lifecycle with the key responsibilities in each phase outlined below:

Responsibilities :

Project Planning And Requirements

• Review and provide feedback on the business requirements to ensure that they can be validated, and identify gaps or other issues which may present a risk to the test cycle.
• Actively participate in business requirements elicitation sessions facilitated by the Business Analyst, and complete proof of concept or current state validation in a test environment where required.
• Will be assigned to lead UAT activities for projects with medium to high complexity with multiple stakeholders at various levels in the organization.

UAT Planning

• Identify, secure, train (if applicable) and supervise business and UAT testing resources to ensure adequate coverage and timeline management during the test cycle.
• Create UAT Test cases according to established protocol and with full traceability back to the business requirements and functional specifications documents to ensure appropriate and comprehensive test coverage. Accurately assign risk priority to each test case using established guidelines.
• Create a professional UAT Plan containing all relevant information relating to the cycle, present the completed document to the project team to obtain necessary buy-in, and obtain stakeholder approval.

UAT Execution

• Accurately and efficiently execute test cases according to priority.
• Effectively monitor progress of testers, coordinate efforts and scheduling, and provide ongoing feedback throughout the cycle.
• Record and retain results as per established protocol and ensure that testers are doing the same at all times.

Implementation and Closeout

• Provide implementation support on-site to impacted business units when required. Follow established issue management and reporting protocol at all times.
• Assist the Business Analyst and Project Manager in the implementation planning process to ensure adequate business validation is performed by the impacted operational areas.
• Provide feedback during project close-out on lessons learned and suggest opportunities for improvement for future initiatives.

Issue Management

• Schedule, prepare for, and facilitate UAT status and issue review meetings. This includes the creation and management of the issue log.
• Escalate potential risks as they are identified and provide accurate recommendations for risk mitigation or recovery options.
• Provide accurate, professional and timely status updates to project stakeholders that is appropriate to the audience.

Leadership and Coaching

• Conduct regular audits of the documentation and test results produced by the UAT Team and provide results to the Senior Manager.
• Demonstrate active leadership, problem solving skills, and initiative.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the team.
• Act professionally with a positive attitude and remain calm during times of high stress.
• Act as a mentor to team members and stakeholders by actively sharing information and expertise, and providing training and support through all phases of the work being done within the UAT Team.
• Consistently follow and champion established protocols and actively support and implement required policy and procedure changes.

Qualifications :

• Bilingualism (English and French) skills are an asset.
• Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in core competencies including teamwork, adaptability, planning, presentation, problem solving, judgment and decision making.
• Experience with automated test script development and execution is an asset.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
• Knowledge of banking and investment products including mortgages, loans, deposit services and investment funds.
• College degree and 5 to 8 years of experience or;
• Strong listening, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required for the role.
• University degree in a related field and 1 to 2 years of relevant User Acceptance Testing experience within the financial services sector.
• Experience working with a core banking system, lending origination system, or dealer account management system.
