Qa Tester (Uat Focused )

Description

Supervised by the Sr Product Manager - Content Enablement (AMS), and further supported by the Manager - Content Enablement, the QA Tester II role will actively participate in ongoing (proprietary) Asset Management System application development testing activities in the capacity of test script writing, user acceptance test (UAT) execution, user acceptance test (UAT) validation, issue triage, and change management support (training materials preparation, user training, and other documentation as required).

The Asset Management System (AMS) is an application used by internal TELUS users to manage content to our content platforms. The application integrates with & enables several features and functionalities that are external customer facing; and is critical to scalable products, features & services in our content space.

Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a product tester in an Agile applications development environment. The candidate must have hands-on experience with JIRA & Confluence development tools (understanding feature/story development & acceptance criteria) and be skilled at test case/test scripting for user acceptance testing (UAT).

The candidate must have a remarkable ability to balance priorities & be self-organized. Strong communication skills will also be essential.

This position is to be located in Ontario - preferably with access to our Toronto office as and when required; though the role & team is hybrid (work from home with some in-office time as required).

The ideal candidate MUST have:

• Remarkable ability to balance priorities & be self-organized
• Experience as a product tester in an Agile applications development environment
• Hands-on experience with JIRA & Confluence
• Worked directly on projects that applied Agile (ie. Agile, Scrum Agile, SAFe) methodology
• Experience & strong ability in creating test cases/test scripts for user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Top notch communication skills (verbal & written) with strong comprehension of subject matter (once onboarding is complete)

Leading candidates would also have:

• Experience with project/work management software or operating systems like monday.com, Trello, Asana
• Experience with Zephyr Squad testing tools to write and execute test cases
• Expert experience with Microsoft & Google tools for presentations, tracking, work management
• Awareness of and personal engagement with entertainment content services (streaming services, traditional TV, video on demand etc)
