Job Overview
QCA Systems is looking for a Project Manager for our industrial-based customers. A successful Project Manager needs to do it all and on time, on budget, within scope, while maintaining governance. Join us in supporting the achievement of business strategies through planning and managing complex projects and working with various business units.
QCA is looking for an individual who also has practical technical Electrical/Automation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitors project charter, plans, budget, scope, schedule, expenditures, client satisfaction and risks; reports on variances and impacts to deliverables.
- Manages project plans: tracking, monitoring, and communicating project progress, requirements, quality measures, controlling of scope, and change control processes.
- Provides support by conveying policies and priorities, directing work, and ensuring issues are resolved or escalated.
- Carries out project plans according to established PMO project methodologies.
- Will have end-to-end ownership of projects of moderate scope and complexity.
- Participates in and/or leads meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate risks.
- Projects range in size from $500K to $10 million plus in size.
Qualifications/Skills
- Ability to anticipate, plan and see the “big picture” in project scope, scheduling and planning.
- IT Project Management is considered an asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral, presentation); communicates in a clear, concise, and organized manner; listens to others to obtain information.
- Proven experience building strong relationships with project sponsors, senior management, external providers, business partners and stakeholders, etc.
- PMP Certification is considered an asset.
- 2-5+ years Project Management experience working on projects of a variety in size.
- Electrical, Systems, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering Degree from a recognized university with P.Eng. designation or ability to register as a Professional with EGBC is required.

- This job is performed indoors in traditional office setting with frequent visits to clients’ sites.
