On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking one (1), Project Manager - Intranet Redesign.

The intranet is the main organizational platform for internal communications and is one of the repositories for internal information and knowledge. This knowledge distribution is one-way and different sections are defined for different audiences. Content is added by departments.

The client is replacing the intranet with a cloud-based employee engagement and experience platform and requires a project manager to manage the solution, its delivery and acceptance. The new platform will help the organization evolve from a one-way communications delivery model to a collaborative experience with staff and medical staff. The platform will support the employee experience as well as the experience of an employee’s role, whether it is a nurse, food services worker or leader.

Job Details:

• Managing the project in Island Health’s project management system (JIRA) with project and task updates
• Report biweekly on project status to leaders
• Work will be of high standard and quality.
• Work assignments will be completed on time.
• Contractor will need to be able to work in a team environment.
• Report biweekly on the project blog for employee transparency into the project

Mandatory Skills:

The Project Manager – IT Level 1 is required to have the following skills and experience:

Intranets

• In depth knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint capabilities and limitations.
• Thorough knowledge of the roles, employee types and departments in a large health authority.
• Experience translating team processes into actionable publishing workflows.
• Intranet implementation in an organization setting of greater than 15,000 employees.

Employee Engagement Applications

• Implementation of a system which requires significant change management and change in responsibility for all employees.
• Has deployed an employee engagement platform to an organization of greater than 15,000 employees.
• Understanding of the employer-employee relationship and responsibilities.
• Thorough understanding of departmental politics and priorities.
• Exposure to conflict management and priority setting.

Knowledge Management Systems

• Expertise in the deployment of knowledge management system such as a Learning Management System.
• Excellent understanding of the variety, importance and access to knowledge management systems.
• Modelling access to corporate knowledge held by employees and making that knowledge accessible.
• Detailed understanding of document management systems, record management systems, asset management systems and content management systems.

HR/ Workforce Management Systems

• Expert understanding of the employee lifecycle in a health organization.
• In depth knowledge of employee scheduling, work locations and technology access challenges in a large, geo-diverse, 24 hour organization.
• Experience driving change in HR management solutions.
• Excellent knowledge of the integration between HR systems and downstream systems such as Active Directory, the implementation and complications of those integrations.

In addition to the skills and experience set out above, the Proponents should demonstrate that the proposed Consultant(s) have the following additional skills and experience:

• Expertise in project management system such as Jira.
• Strong ability in partner management.
• Excellent understanding of cultural safety and our requirement to engage partners with the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion.
