ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity. With ABB AbilityTM enabled digital solutions at its core, our extensive portfolio includes distribution automation products, switching, limiting, measuring and sensing devices, switchgear, modular substation packages, and related services. Working as a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the execution of Rail and major electrical distribution projects within the ABB Electrification Business Canada leading the project team, establishing the approach, and overseeing hand-over, planning, and monitoring and control activities.In this role, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project, as well as guiding, coaching, and developing the skills and knowledge of the project team.

Your Responsibilities

• Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and acknowledgement by the customer.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating with them and acting as the key contact for the customer
• Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, costs, expenses and cash flow.
• Monitoring project implementation to ensure best practices in terms of costs, resource efficiency, risk management and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
• Managing the project according to agreed requirements, ensuring that all targets are met, and that relevant guidelines are followed.
• Defining project plan documents in relation to scope, budget, schedule and risk management.

Your background

• Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules and vendors/subcontractors.
• Sound knowledge of DC Rail switchgear and transformers and the Electric distribution market.
• Knowledge of SAP, MS Projects, MS Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skill French & English.
• 10 years of experience in project management, working as Senior project manager for Electrical distribution projects for at least 5 years.
• A PMP certification and Engineering degree in Electrical field.
• Management experience in project execution, with strong, well-developed communication, influencing and coaching skills.
