Intermediate Accountant Jobs

The Accountant utilizes the fundamental accounting principles to plan, organize and perform various accounting transactions and prepare financial statements, presentation reports, and analytics while meeting internal controls and regulatory compliance. Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills and systems aptitude are essential to the role to carryout the intermediate to complex accounting functions. Able to work independently and as a team to achieve the day-to-day, month- and year-end accounting processes, as well as work cross-functionally, to achieve departmental and company goals (Quality, Cost and Delivery).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• Intermediate to advanced skill with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with full cycle accounting, handling intermediate to complex accounting, and preparing financial statements and reporting.
• Experience in SAP FICO preferred.
• Experience in a fast paced and high volume environment.
• Experience in software or technology sector preferred.
• Able to travel occasionally for business activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare AR statements with follow up action to customers.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Review and validate AR and AP aging for follow up actions.
• Comply with J-SOX requirements and company level controls (standards, policies, and procedures).
• Process customer, vendor and intercompany transactions accurately and timely.
• Make recommendations for accounting best practices and efficiency improvements.
• Full cycle accounting for AR and AP transactions, including preparing, verifying and posting journal entries.
• Perform accurate month end reporting by deadline.
• Apply customer and vendor payments accurately and timely.
• Perform month end financial statement preparation and related analytics.
• Perform budget preparation and related analytics.
• Actively involved in meeting departmental goals.
