Job Description
We are hiring an Industrial Electrician for a Food Manufacturing Facility in Toronto.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in food manufacturing.
  • Applicant must be able and willing to work any shift, including night shift.
  • Applicant should have completed an apprenticeship program & certified as 309A and /or 442A Electrician in Ontario. Prefer candidate also have a College CET.
Job Functions
  • Design and build electrical panels for machinery.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment, the building and all of its components.
  • Design and build electrical circuits to improve the performance of equipment and machinery.
  • Perform preventative Maintenance according to specifications, instructions of Maintenance Management.
Specific skills requirements:
  • Industrial Electrician license.
  • Minimum 3 years local experience in Canada from within a Food Plant Manufacturing environment.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, maintenance shop machinery and electronics
  • Reading, writing and communication in English.
  • Trouble shooting skills for Electrical & Mechanical problems
  • Knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes as it applies to an Industrial establishment.
  • Understanding of electrical circuitry
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy machinery.
  • The applicant should be able to work in Canada legally.
  • Applicant should be able to understand and speak English
  • Ability to work at heights, heat, cold, and within guidelines of Occupational Health & Safety.
