Our client, a leading Food Manufacturer, is currently looking for Industrial Electrician - Licensed, to join their growing team.

DUTIES:

• Design and build electrical panels for machinery.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment, the building and all of its components.
• Design and build electrical circuits to improve the performance of equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventative Maintenance according to specifications, instructions of Maintenance Management.

SPECIFIC SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in food manufacturing out of which 3 years must be in Canada within a food plant manufacturing.
• Have completed an apprenticeship program & certified as 309A and /or 442A Electrician in Ontario. Prefer candidate who also have a College CET.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work at heights, heat, cold, and within guidelines of Occupational Health & Safety.
• Knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes as it applies to an Industrial establishment.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Trouble shooting skills for Electrical & Mechanical problems
• Reading, writing and communication in English.
• Understanding of electrical circuitry
• Knowledge of PLC’s, maintenance shop machinery and electronics
• Must be able to lift and move heavy machinery.

Experience:

• Industrial electrician: 5 years (preferred)
• Canadian Industrial Electrician: 3 years (preferred)
• Industrial Electrician within food manufacturing plant: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• 309A and /or 442A Electrician License in Ontario (required)

Shift availability:

• Overnight Shift (preferred)
• Day Shift (preferred)
• Night Shift (preferred)
