Job Description

We are looking for an outgoing and positive Licensed 309 Electrician for one of our clients located inThunderBay, ON. Our client is a fortune 500 company who is an industry leader in providing home comfort solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers as you professionally provide residential electrical diagnostic, repair and installation services. Your main responsibility will be to support the electrical work required for HVAC and Electric Water Heaters. This is a full-time permanent position.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform general and specific equipment inspections
  • Educate customers on electrical work in homes
  • Represent the business in a professional, courteous and customer service-oriented manner on each and every call.
  • Accurately estimate repair costs, fixed right the first time and continual value-added communication with the homeowner
  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems in domestic electrical systems, including but is not limited to fault-finding, panel changes, generator installation, knob and tube removal, home rewiring etc.
  • Perform diagnostics, repair, maintain, service and install equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Explain the value of products, services and programs on every call
  • Set priorities and work assignments to meet established deadlines


Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
  • Must have 5+ years’ experience as an Electrician
  • Must be a certified Electrician and hold the 309 License
  • Must be registered with the Ontario College of Trades
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Experience in Refrigeration, HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanics an asset
  • Must have strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position
  • Must have excellent verbal and communication skills
