Industrial Electrician Jobs

Bothwell Cheese is looking for individuals interested in the position of Industrial Electrician working within our Maintenance department. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining,
testing, and repairing all process and packaging electrical equipment. Assisting in Capital installation projects and carrying out preventative maintenance throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a food processing facility.
Other Responsibilities:

• Conduct Planned Preventative maintenance and keep maintenance records.
• Instrumentation (pneumatic controls, PID, transducers, servos, analog/digital signals)
• Must possess a great attitude and work ethic.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Understand and adhere to all plant GMP, Food/Health and Safety Polices.
• Assisting with Mechanical repairs as needed.
• Low and medium voltage distribution systems (single and three phase systems)
• Read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Must have a flexible work schedule - shift work, overtime and weekends and schedule changes can be aspects of the position.
• Microprocessor based systems (PLC's, Electronic circuits, controls)
• Instruct and assist operators with changeovers as necessary.
• VFD set up and programming.
• Must be a team player and work closely with maintenance, production, engineering and outside contractors.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Red Seal Trades Certification required (Industrial Electrician)
• Ability to work independently and in a multifunctional team with minimal supervision
• Weight Scales, HMI, Allen Bradley SLC5 PLC, VFD, Servomotors
• Strong electrical, instrumentation, automation, pneumatics experience required
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
• Pump repair / troubleshooting, and Vacuum system experience is an asset.
• Experience with high speed packaging is preferred, vertical form fill seal baggers, and thermoforming equipment.
