Journeyperson Electrician Jobs

• $36-39/ hour (depending on experience and license)

Raise Workforce has partnered with a leader in solar powered energy, and we are looking for Journeyman Electricians to join their team right away. We welcome Electricians with no solar experience, as long as you have an appetite to learn! This is a fantastic opportunity for those newly licensed, or looking to learn something new. We have multiple positions available!

As their new Journeyman Electrician, you will assist in the development, fabrication, assembly, commissioning and repairing of the company's products. You will check in at the shop each morning, load up, and hit the road to get to work.

Responsibilities

• Using hand tools, both manual and powered, to install racking and modular components.
• Commissioning of PV systems and completion of quality control and commissioning documentation
• Ensure crew and job site safety
• Lead quality installations based on system design and specifications
• Working on various slopes of roofs during installation
• Installation of solar electric systems for residential and commercial buildings

Qualifications

• Experience with medium and high voltage terminations
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Red-Seal Certificate preferred but not required
• Be in good health and physically fit (must be able to lift heavy solar panels and other items up to 60lbs)
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Comfortable working on roofs (various slopes) - 90% of the work is at heights
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all safety rules and regulations

Assets (preferred But Not Required)

• Solar training and/or solar installation certification (SAIT, NAIT, NABCEP, SEI, etc)
• Solar installation experience – Commercial and Industrial projects
• Fall protection training/certification
