Looking for an excellent company to work for? Strata Electrical Contracting is growing and currently has an opening for an experienced service and maintenance electrical technician for our commercial and residential clients in and surrounding areas of Edmonton, AB.
This position requires a highly skilled, detail oriented individual with exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure, respond to and complete calls in a timely manner. The individual will also be efficient, effectively communicate with clients/co-workers and independent. We also require the qualified applicant to rotate an on call schedule every 4th week for 1 week at a time, emergency call-outs after hours are paid double time.
This position may accept second year apprentice to Journeyman depending on experience. Apprentice rates would be percentages of shop rates respectively. We offer an excellent benefits plan after 3 months of employment and a company credit card for required daily company purchases.
Successful applicants must have the following:
-Experience with commercial/residential service truck
-Knowledge and experience in commercial/residential buildings including but not limited to:
-Fire Alarm Systems
-Power distribution
-Structured wiring
-HVAC and controls
-Lighting systems
-Security systems
Applicants will also provide:
-Hand tools
-Combo kit
-Clean driving abstract
Successful applicants will be required to work in a variety of environments including fire and flood damaged buildings and may be required to don specific PPE as required by site requirements. Individuals must be comfortable working at heights. Preference will be given to individuals with current valid safety training.
