Apprentice Electrician Jobs

We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team and assist our Solar Electricians in the installation and maintenance of solar panels.
As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work with a variety of equipment, including inverters, batteries, and other components that convert sunlight into usable energy.
Assist Journeyman Electricians In Following Tasks

• Assist in wiring installations for solar energy systems in homes and businesses, including mounting solar panels, connecting to the main electrical box, and integrating energy storage devices.
• Support the installation of wiring and other electrical components in new construction projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and residential homes.
• Assist in installing brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and maintain maintenance records.
• Aid in the installation of electrical wiring and equipment, such as transformers and switchgear, to support solar power systems.
• Participate in testing the continuity of circuits using appropriate equipment to ensure system compatibility and safety after installation, replacement, or repair.
• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
• Help install batteries, battery boxes, and other components for solar power systems.
• Aid in troubleshooting and isolating faults in electrical and electronic systems, and assist in replacing faulty components.
• Assist in the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems in residential and commercial settings, including rooftop and stand-alone systems.
• Installing solar panel arrays in commercial settings, including roofs, walls, and ground mounts.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of solar power generation equipment, including photovoltaic panels, solar water heaters, solar pool heating systems, and solar hot water systems.
• Help connect electrical components, such as inverters, batteries, and charge controllers, to ensure their proper operation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Standard First Aid certification (Level A or C with CPR/AED), CSTS 09 & CSTS 2020 Fundamentals certificates.
• Electrical certifications, such as ESTS and CSTS.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 1st or 2nd Year Electrical Apprentice. ( With Blue Book)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the Joffre, Alberta area or be willing to permanently relocate to be considered.
