CDN is currently looking for a local Journeymen Electrician who is experienced in the Oil & Gas maintenance and construction industry to join our team. If you are an experienced Journeyman Electrician in the oil and gas industry we want to hear from you.

• Must be able to take direction from superiors and work well with others
• Able to understand and inter-operate the most current Canadian electrical code book and exercise these rules when applicable
• Red Seal Journeyman Electrical ticket
• Ability to install and maintain EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFD’s
• Understand safety legislation, regulations, and industry policies in the trades, practice safe work procedures, and adhere to company Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures
• Proficient at cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems
• E&I Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is an asset
• A pre-employment drug and alcohol test will be required prior to employment
• Assist/direct in interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting
• Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights
• A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract
• Responsible for all administrative, material ordering, and QA/QC documents directly associated with the project at hand
• Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, eGSO, and CSTS
• Understand and exercise basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, and industry network, and applications of electronics
• Testing electrical and electronic equipment and components for current, voltage, OHMS
