About Who We're Looking For
We’re looking for an Industrial Designer who wants to build amazing experiences and make a meaningful impact in this World. You come with "roll up my sleeves" and "we can do better" attitude. Your aspiration is not to do what is easy - or even moderately difficult - but what challenges what is possible
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom low-volume shells for our smart refill stations, ensuring a balance between aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality.
- Utilize CAD to create detailed 2D and 3D models of designs, making necessary adjustments based on feedback and testing.
- Source materials that meet our design requirements and sustainability standards.
- Create initial product sketches and refine them into final designs, considering factors such as user experience, branding, and manufacturability.
- Apply DFMA principles throughout the design process to ensure our products are easy to manufacture and assemble, cost-effective, and of high quality.
- Work closely with the engineering to bring designs from concept to reality, ensuring a smooth transition from the design stage to production.
- Participate in the prototyping process, using prototypes to identify and resolve design issues before full production begins.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Other responsibilities, goals, and tasks will be assigned if required
Just Some Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
- Experience with graphic design and relevant software
- Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, with a focus on sustainability.
- Familiarity with DFMA principles and their application in the design process.
- Excellent sketching skills, with the ability to translate sketches into detailed design specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
These Assets Will Help
- Experience in the beverage industry or a similar sector would be a plus.
- Experience with designing custom shells for large appliances or similar products.
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles.
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques.
- Project management skills and experience.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to the beverage industry.
