Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will provide Human Resources Business Partner support to multiple divisions and locations in Canada as a federally regulated employer. This is a fast-paced role requiring previous experience within manufacturing or operations, along with a strong background in labour relations.


Note: this is an office position requiring travel between flour and feed mills as required.


Your day-to-day activities will include:


  • Provide coaching to all levels of employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Partner with leaders, managers, and the HR/Talent team to achieve business results.
  • Participate in HR related projects and initiatives, including policy development, communications, and training.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to senior leaders and front-line managers in areas such as performance management, progressive discipline, salary administration, conflict resolution, training and career development, attendance management and employee/labour relations.
  • Liaises as a single point of contact for both managers and employees within an assigned client group.
  • Assist management with collective agreement administration and interpretation, grievance investigation and resolution, and bargaining support.
  • Identify and evaluate industry best practices and business trends and capitalize on opportunities that will improve the company’s competitive advantage.


The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:


  • Candidates with an HR certification or working towards their designation would be an asset.
  • Previous experience in labour relations is required.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills with an ability to recommend and influence leaders on solutions to complex issues.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or operations is required.
  • Must be flexible in your ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances, having a high tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty as business conditions change.
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of Human Resources experience, with demonstrated progression in HR roles and responsibilities.
