Hand Welder Jobs

We are hiring structural a Hand Welder for a permanent position in our fabrication shop in Grande Prairie, AB starting mid-July. There is no LOA available for this opportunity. This position will work a 12 day on/2 day off work schedule, and the work schedule includes daily overtime.What would you be doing?Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.Recognize defective welds, know the cause, and repair procedure for the defective area.Fuse metals safely and effectively use prescribed welding applications.Perform tasks in accordance with industry quality and production standards.May operate metal shaping machines, such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines.Does this sound like you?Have your Journeyperson Welder certification.CWB flat and horizontal ticket. Valid Standard First Aid and H2S Alive tickets are an asset. Know and understand metals, arc electrodes, welding gases, and gas welding filler roads.Know and understand the welding equipment involved in various procedures.Have physical strength, stamina, and the use of proper lifting techniques.Required to manage heavy materials and stand for extended periods.Are adaptable and can work in a team environment.Safety oriented.Able to read and understand complex instructions.Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.Perks of the jobThe Journeyperson Pipefitter rate is $44.00 per hour.
