- Shift: Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day. Additional hours will be required during peak construction and tunnelling.
- Location: Edmonton, AB
- Duration: 2 years or until construction is completed
- Start Date: June 19, 2023
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including production reports and safety documentation.
- Responsible for overseeing various tasks at the top of the shaft, including air monitor testing, gas monitor testing, and tag in/tag out.
- Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Effectively use hand signals to communicate with crane operators, to ensure proper coordination and safety during lifting and moving operations.
- Effectively perform air monitor testing and gas monitoring.
- Must have proficient written and spoken English.
- Must be able to work in shaft 6.5 meters in diameter and 20+ meters below grade
- First Aid is an asset but not required.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Top Man or working with deep shafts or micro tunnelling.
- Previous experience with tunneling sewer or wastewater construction.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive a company vehicle.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Employment conditional on successful completion of required safety training and site access requirements.
