Multimedia Designer and Communications Specialist

Established in 1998, Adapt Media is a distinguished media organization dedicated to effectively engage Canadians across all media channels.

Our portfolio of products offer a wide array of media solutions to our brand and agency clients, including OOH, DOOH, Digital & Mobile Location Data Analytics.


About You:


A creative and dynamic individual looking to play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and communication strategy for our company & clients.



Role Responsibilities:


  • Graphic Design: Design and create compelling artwork and graphics for a variety of media. This includes designing visual concepts using graphic design tools and software, designing and updating website elements, creating infographics for online and print materials, and maintaining brand consistency throughout all design projects.


  • Web Design: Develop, maintain, and update company websites ensuring the optimal user experience. You will collaborate with teams to decide on the aesthetics and functionality of the site, create an effective design and responsive layout.


  • Animation and Video Editing: Create and edit videos and animations for promotional materials, advertisements, website content, and social media posts. This will include developing storyboards, creating 2D and 3D animations, editing video content, adding effects, and syncing audio.


  • Branding: Maintain and further develop the company's brand identity through the creation of visual branding elements, logos, color schemes, and comprehensive brand guidelines. Ensure the implementation of branding standards across all channels and materials.


  • Social Media Management: Develop, schedule, and manage engaging social media content across various platforms (like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.). Monitor social media accounts, respond to follower feedback, and develop strategies to increase engagement and followers.


  • PR and Communications: Plan, execute, and manage public relations efforts, including the creation and distribution of press releases, media relations, and company statements. Maintain a positive image of the company and manage any crisis communication.




Qualifications:


  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong knowledge of current social media platforms and tools, including analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro), HTML, CSS, and WordPress.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating skills in graphic design, web design, animation, video editing, and branding.
  • Experience in public relations and managing social media accounts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Communication, or related field.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Preferred Skills:


  • Certification in graphic design, web design, or a related field.
  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools.
  • Experience with SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and animation software.
  • Experience in a startup or agency environment is a plus.
