Full-time evenings Registered Nurse (230pm - 1030pm)

• Current Registration and Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Current certificate of an approved drug administration or equivalent course.
• Knowledge of principles and philosophy of long-term care. Previous long-term care experience and knowledge and experience in all documentation requirements for interdisciplinary progress notes and care plans required.
• Ability to perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with applicable legislation, job routines, the College of Nurses standards of Nursing Practice, Extendicare’s Resident Manual and Quality of Care Standards.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, other disciplines, residents and families.
• Ability to work independently and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Competence in MDS RAI and computer skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined.
