Leader: Senior Fraud Specialist

As ATB's Next Fraud Specialist, you will be responsible for making determinations on whether an ATB client may have become a victim to fraud. With your proactive detection skills, you will be responsible for identifying patterns of unusual behaviour and suspicious transactions through alert monitoring and other methods of analysis.

Specifically, The Fraud Specialist

• Ensures all activities are recorded through various fraud databases
• Performs other duties and special projects as required
• Analyzes, identifies, escalates, and reports on new fraud trends to increase enterprise visibility and awareness
• Embraces an environment of ever changing trends, tools and policies/procedures
• Educates customers on fraud risks and the fraud claims process
• Utilizes active listening skills and effective probing questions to deliver an outstanding client experience wherever possible
• Reviews high risk activity to detect and mitigate fraudulent events occurring across multiple banking channels
• Remains professional and calm in escalated customer situations

Requirements

As the ideal candidate you possess:

• Active listening skills
• Financial crime or fraud certifications/accreditations are an asset
• Previous experience in a customer service environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility in working hours
• Strong computer skills
• The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
• A strong attention to detail
• The ability to assume accountability, ownership, and adapt to change
• Previous experience working with fraud operations or financial crime teams is an asset
• A demonstrated aptitude to working effectively with minimum supervision
• Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
