DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the incumbent plays a leading role in the management of the plant's costs and contributes expertise in the sound financial management of the cooperative and each of its divisions. He is responsible for reviewing and analyzing the cost of goods sold, variances and performing end of period analyses.
YOUR CHALLENGES:
- Support plant operations management by performing various financial analyses for all departments of the Cooperative, i.e. manufacturing, distribution, etc
- Participate in control and audit activities organized by the finance department and reinforce internal control measures
- Participate in various special improvement and development projects in connection with the department
- Track actual product costs against standard costs and analyze variances
- Participate in the development of the plant's financial culture
- Tracking inventory transactions, analyzing inventory movements, explaining significant variances
- Perform all other related tasks
- Ensure appropriate communication of financial information internally and externally as required
- Preparation of monthly reports on sales, cost of goods sold, profitability, etc.
- Participate in the plant's inventory management activities
- Calculate costs when requesting quotes for new products
- Maintain standard costs in the ERP system
- Establish standard costs, perform follow-ups and gap analysis in accordance with established rules
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- Have a sense of responsibility and autonomy
- Problem solving and decision making skills
- Accounting designation (an asset)
- Experience with ERP, WMS and EMS is a strong asset
- Minimum three years experience in a similar position
- Excellent proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).
- Ability to build business relationships
- Experience in continuous improvement (an asset)
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or other relevant discipline or other equivalent experience;
- Open-minded and able to adapt to changes
- Ability to influence
- Proficiency in IT project management and numbers analysis (costs, performance indicators)
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
- Experience in a manufacturing and costing company
- Able to work in a team
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
- Be versatile, flexible and reliable
- Open-mindedness
- Results oriented
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and computer skills
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism
