Finance Director: Commissioning And Strategic Financial Planning

Detailed And Main Responsibilities
The Finance Director – Commissioning and Strategic Financial Planning, will also be responsible for all aspects of Strategic Financial Planning, including the Lead on all aspects of Finance within the 3 Year Plan (IMTP), working both within the organisation and with colleagues across other Health Boards, Welsh Government and other public Sector Organisations.
The Finance Director – Commissioning and Strategic Financial Planning will ensure that the regularity and propriety of expenditure is discharged with, and that arrangements are put in place to ensure that good practice under the guidance of the Executive Director of Finance is embodied and that safeguarding of funds is ensured through effective financial and management systems.
Main duties of the job
The Finance Director – Commissioning and Strategic Financial Planning will be responsible for the provision of professional financial and business advice to the Health Board and Executive Director of Finance and for the direct management of all aspect of financial control, probity, governance and accounting systems within the three Area Teams and financial services. They will be responsible for the compliance with its financial, accounting and auditing standards and obligations and related duties.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
