Role: Facilities Technician

Duration: 6 month contract

Pay: $33 an hour

Location: Calgary

Your New Company

A leading Oil and Gas company is looking to hire an Data Entry Operator for a 1 year contract in Calgary, Alberta.

Your New Role

• Ensure facilities and personnel comply with TC Energy’s health, safety, environment, and risk standards
• Provide assistance to technicians and other duties as assigned.
• Perform monthly and annual preventive maintenance and inspections on site equipment.
• Perform routine pipeline, gas measurement and compression maintenance activities as required
• Perform Preventative Maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC, Boiler units.
• Perform basic additional duties such as routine administration, clerical duties, etc.
• Interpret technical reference documents, drawings and vendor manuals.
• Oversee third party contractors
• Understand emergency management, preparedness and response procedures for work locations

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience using SAP
• Previous experience in the oil and natural gas industry
• Previous Facilities experience with a variety of tasks in construction, operation and maintenance of either pipeline or compressor facilities or clean-up work
• Journeyperson Boilermaker, Class A Gasfitter or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician

This position requires candidates to:

• Have and maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Be subject to callouts with extended workdays/weeks as required to complete assignments or emergency support
• Spend long periods at a computer work station, drive long distances and be exposed to field operations and construction environments
• Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, to include drug and alcohol testing
• Travel within the assigned area of responsibility as well as occasionally to other company locations which may include overnight trips (25% of the time)
