Working at Container Solutions


  • As Agile Delivery Managers, you will be working to ensure our teams are empowered to deliver value and mentoring in Agile best practices to our clients. You will play a crucial role in guiding our clients’ team to deliver valuable outcomes by ensuring client/team’s needs are met and adopt Agile methodologies as part of a multidisciplinary balanced team.
  • As the company grows, our Engineering team is expanding and we’re establishing our Delivery Management function. That’s why we are looking for organised, detail-oriented and enthusiastic Agile Delivery Managers to join us on our journey.


What You Would Do


  • Planning. You can lead a continual planning process in a very complex environment. You can identify dependencies in plans across services and co-ordinate delivery. You can coach other teams as the central point of expertise.
  • Making a process work. You can identify and challenge organisational processes of increasing complexity and those processes that are unnecessarily complicated. You can add value and can coach the organisation to inspect and adapt processes.
  • Agile and Lean ways of working. You can coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques. You can act as a recognised expert and advocate for the approaches, continuously reflecting and challenging the team i.e. have extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc. You can create or tailor new ways of working, and constantly innovate.
  • Team dynamics and collaboration. You are able to build and maintain teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well. You can identify problems or issues in the team dynamic and rectify them. You can identify issues through Agile ‘health checks’ with the team, and help to stimulate the right responses. You can engage in varying types of feedback, choosing the right type at the appropriate time and ensuring the discussion and decision stick. You can accelerate the team development cycle.
  • Focusing on making things happen. Ensuring our teams have everything they need to succeed while being accountable for the delivery of products and services.
  • Commercial value. You understand commercial value and can focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services, ensuring the project runs to time and budget. You feel comfortable collaborating with Sales (Account Management) and professional services teams for the ongoing success and growth of the customer engagement and support around SOW’s and contracts. You can also write or input into business cases and can communicate business-value propositions.
  • Communicating between the technical and non-technical. You can mediate between people and mend relationships, communicating with stakeholders at all levels. You can manage stakeholder and client expectations and moderate discussions about high risk and complexity, even within constrained timescales. You’re not afraid of having the tough conversations and doing so with compassion and empathy. You confidently develop and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders internally and at the client
  • Life cycle perspective. You are experienced in the different phases of the delivery life cycle. You encourage and facilitate continuous improvement in the delivery team. You can recognise when it is right to move forward and when it is right to stop. You can recognise the appropriate deliverables and the right people to meet them. You can identify and engage with the appropriate stakeholders at any given stage.
  • Maintaining delivery momentum. You can create a culture of accountability while helping the teams to meet their deadlines by improving the delivery flow of teams. You can actively address the most complicated risks, issues and dependencies including where ownership exists outside the team or no clear ownership exists and help the team to move forward.

What does it take?


  • Strong facilitation/presentation skills
  • Experience with Cloud Native implementations.
  • Experience with engineering methods and supporting practices, such as GitOps, is a must.
  • Experience with strategic planning whilst coordinating with the sales team to organise and prioritise expansion opportunities.
  • Ability to create a psychologically safe environment in which it is safe to fail and learn from such failures.
  • Able to influence without authority
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, product thinking (preferred) and empathy-building
  • Having consultancy experience is advantageous but not a must-have.
  • You can easily work remotely with a team based internationally.
  • Awareness of organisational transformation processes is a bonus
  • Ability to determine what is agile and what is not and demonstrate this through your previous work
  • Demonstrable experience as an Agile Delivery Lead/Manager, Scrum Master, Programme Manager or similar delivery role


What Success Looks Like


  • New Hires. Through their work in the community and within their own networks, Agile Delivery Managers are expected to attract future colleagues into our talent pipeline.
  • NPS and EPS. The Agile Delivery Manager is expected to create delightful experiences for both our customers and the delivery teams working with them. This will be reflected in high net promoter scores and high employee promoter scores.
  • Buzz. Container Solutions conduct regular surveys as well as having numerous techniques to monitor the mood of the organisation. Every Agile Delivery Manager is expected to understand their invaluable contribution to the culture and mood within Container Solutions, leading through exemplary role modelling behaviours.
