Looking for an opportunity to lead and develop a new 10 bed residential treatment centre and 2 bed withdrawal unit from the bottom up and make a lasting impact on lives in Northeastern Ontario? Join the Northeastern Recovery Centre in Kirkland Lake,Ontario to set the overall direction of the organization, develop and implement strategies, oversee financial management, and manage staff. The Executive Director will also be expected to build relationships with stakeholders, develop partnerships, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical experience and knowledge in substance abuse treatment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Leads, manages and motivates a strong multidisciplinary team commitment in delivering the highest quality of services
·Supports the clinical team by providing hands on guidance and support
·Manages the financial affairs, develops internal controls and financial management policies
·Serves as key administrative support to the organization in the development and implementation of policies and by-laws
·Monitor and evaluate program performance and develop structure of the centre to meet standards of care
·Facilitates the development of a district-wide model of care to ensure client wrap around services
QUALIFICATIONS:
·Successful completion of baccalaureate degree in relevant health services and public/business administration (preferred) and at least 3 to 5 years of senior management experience
·Certificate of Registration with the Canadian Addiction Counsellor Certification Federation- (preferred)
·Thorough knowledge of counselling and program standards of care of substance use disorders and mental health resources preferably in residential treatment settings
·Ability to work cooperatively with staff, clients, families, volunteers, board members, community partners and Ontario Health officials in advancing the mission of the organization
·Excellent skills in planning, organizational and financial management and the
·Ability to lead and develop a diverse team of health professionals and non-professionals and volunteers in the development of wrap around services for persons and their families living with substance use disorders.
·Involves limited local and out- of -town travel, use of own vehicle and valid driver’s licence
·Bilingualism an asset

·Represents the organization at public events and in the media
