Event Staging Design Intern

We're a Toronto-based event production company offering an exciting part-time Internship opportunity. In this role, you'll collaborate with our creative team to develop unique event-staging designs inspired by the vibrant cultures of Latin America and Spain. While your work location can be flexible, the candidate must be present on-site during event staging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create visual presentations including design plans, mood boards, and colour palettes.
• Coordinate with vendors to source culturally appropriate decor materials.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop event concepts and themes rooted in Latin American and Spanish cultures.
• Assist in the setup and tear-down of event stages.
• Assist with the design and staging of events, including layout of furniture, décor, and props.

Requirements:

• Availability to attend on-site staging of events in Toronto.
• Basic understanding of space planning, colour theory, and design trends.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to different project requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Latin American and Spanish music and culture.
• Must be 19+
• Current enrollment in an Interior Design or Interior Decoration program.

Compensation: While this is mainly an internship so the work that you do in designing and conceptualizing will not be directly compensated monetarily, we will compensate your time during on-site event set-up and take down at a $20 per hour rate.
