Graphic Design Intern Jobs

Silk & Snow is a Toronto-based, digitally native business that offers thoughtfully designed bedding products with a frictionless customer experience. We are a small and highly collaborative team, looking to add a Graphic Design Intern to our team. You are team-oriented, versatile, collaborative, and eager to take on the different challenges that come with working for an energetic start-up.

The Role:

We are looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our highly talented team of creative individuals. In this role your job will be to elevate our brand through creative excellence, ultimately showcasing how the Silk & Snow brand presents itself to the world. If you are a visual storyteller, work well in a team, and love beautiful home goods, this role is perfect for you.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Creating inspirational mockups for photoshoots to ensure that we are staying on brand, on trend and using the right props with the right products. In this role, you will take an active part in photoshoots from start to finish
• Assisting with print production which includes getting samples, card stocks, mockups, generating production quotes, and working with suppliers to take the project from start to finish
• Creating beautiful and on-brand internal documents and decks
• Ensuring that all graphic elements strictly adhere to the Silk & Snow brand guidelines
• Retouching and editing images
• Working alongside the other graphic designers to ideate, design, and execute the graphic elements needed for our digital and physical marketing channels – these include emails, ads, packaging, in-store collateral and brochures, to name a few
• Staying on top of current design trends, both digitally and physically (eg packaging, social media, website etc)

About You:

• A love of interior design and elevated home goods is a strong asset
• Experience building and executing effective marketing campaigns from start to finish, from strategy and ideation through to production, an asset
• Experience as a graphic designer, preferably in consumer brand or at a marketing/creative agency
• A strong visual storyteller with a clear eye from imagery and typography that supports the Silk & Snow brand
• High level knowledge of current best-in-practice email standards, website design, digital marketing, packaging, and social media
• Expert level knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Applications without a portfolio will not be considered
• College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing, or related discipline
