Salary: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year ( dependent on experience)

PK Construction Inc is a rapidly growing contracting firm that specializes in design/build, project management, and bid/build projects in the industrial, commercial, and institutional business sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Tillsonburg, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately calculating estimates for commercial/industrial/institutional projects across Southwestern Ontario with a value of up to 10 million. This will involve preparing quantity take-offs, compiling material pricing, and analyzing labor costs. Communication with staff, subcontractors, and suppliers on a regular basis is a critical component of this position.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and methodical thinking
• Membership with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors or Gold Seal Certification will be considered an asset
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with MS Project is an asset
• Solid, related estimating experience
• Exceptional attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a thorough understanding of project specifications and drawings
• Prepare quantity take-offs, compile material pricing, and analyze labor costs
• Calculate accurate estimates for commercial/industrial/institutional projects
• Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits
• Work collaboratively with project managers and site supervisors
• Prepare and submit tender documents on time
• Communicate with staff, subcontractors, and suppliers on a regular basis
