Environmental Coordinator Jobs

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Administratively support updates to our Environmental Policy and Procedure information and the online website content
• Administratively support our building energy intensity tools
• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviour at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
• Coordinate the inventorying of environmental documents, procedures, policies, logbooks, checklists, permits and projects
• Provide assistance with the execution and governance of the Environmental Management Plan, Environmental compliance requirements and Sustainability goals and metrics
• Coordinate the collection, monitoring, and organization of applicable environmental information
• Provide assistance with coordinating the training and mentoring of employees on Environmental compliance requirements and Sustainability goals and metrics

Must-haves for this role:

• A valid Driver's License with a current and clean Driver's Abstract
• Highly safety conscious with knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within Environmental Management
• Highly effective administrative skills and efficient time-management with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Certificate or degree in Environmental Studies, Science or Engineering, or a related field, with co-op to 3 years of relevant experience
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively within cross functional teams and in virtual environments
• Willing and able to work flexible business hours and travel in support of the business
• Analytical and organized team player with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Proficiency in web/online tools and Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook
