In order to keep up with our continuous growth, we are looking for an Electro-mechanical technician to join the team in our Mississauga HUB station. You do want to make a lasting imprint in this innovating industry through communication and relationship building and have exposure to new markets.
What will your day look like? May include some or all of the following activities, coordinated with on-site team and with guidance from fellow technician and Hub Manager.
- Managing an ongoing, continuous analysis and review of data to ensure efficiency is always achieved.
- Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts
- Maintain consistent process flow to meet the KPI’s while collaborating with the IT team to enhance and optimize production.
- Management and analysis of KPI’s
- Install, operate and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
- Calibrate electrical or electronic equipment and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Partaking in hands-on training by shadowing the vendors during the system installations
- Assist in the training of department personnel, on the operation and use of the in-house hardware and software.
- Consulted by Hub Manager and Supervisors on internal solutions and potential capabilities through queries issued for accurate successful sort
- Coordinate, discover and provide valuable input for the successful execution of user solutions for the automatic sorting system.
- Calibrate components and instruments such as scanners, limit switches and conveyors according to manufacturers' specifications
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Conducting mechanical, electrical and software maintenance as required
- Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts.
- Participating in establishing the maintenance plan for our automated sorting process and supporting equipment.
- Provide front line solutions regarding the investigation of the live production issues, which included the use of relevant diagnostics tools such as HMI, Graphical User Interface based data logs, measuring, and reading devices such as multimeter, tachometer.
- Consult manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to troubleshoot and maintenance procedures for automated sorter, compressor and conveyors instruments used for controlling processing of packages.
- Duties related to system sort and operation of electro-mechanical equipment and procedures.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports.
- Involved in the decision making of process flow solutions.
- Collect and compile operational data and assist in the preparation of schedules, specifications and reports.
The shift schedule is Monday to Friday 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
What does it take to be successful?
- 3-5 years relevant experience in the field of electromechanics.
- Embraces change and has a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly understand and identify issues and implement solutions.
- Post- secondary diploma (College) as Electrical/Mechanical Technician.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work autonomously.
- This role will require to work during the daytime until end of October and starting around November, you must me flexible and available to work for a day or night shift.
