Aon is looking for an Actuarial Analyst
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Reinsurance Solutions, in Toronto, Ontario. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will report directly to a Vice President on the team.
Your impact as an Actuarial Analyst
Job Responsibilities
  • Explain analysis results to actuaries and non-actuaries
  • Become proficient in the use of Aon’s proprietary risk modeling software for standard reinsurance products
  • Perform reinsurance pricing analyses based on experience and exposure
  • Identify and access relevant industry data sources
  • Become familiar with a wide range of insurance and reinsurance products and related terminology
  • Develop an understanding of the cost and benefit of reinsurance to client income statements
  • Become proficient with Aon's tools and approach, contribute to their development, and present Aon's solutions and services to our clients and prospects
  • Work in a project-oriented, client-focused environment in which problem-solving skills are critical
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise
Required Experience:
  • Highly self-motivated, creative individual who is most comfortable in a team-oriented framework
  • Strong computer and analytical skills are important, but equally, we are looking for someone with enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn and to contribute
  • Someone who is hands-on and leads by example
  • Accuracy, thoroughness, and strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Math or any other analytically oriented equivalent
  • Successful completion of at least 2 Casualty Actuarial Society preliminary exams (P, FM, 3F, MAS-I, MAS-II)
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (VBA), Access (SQL), Word, and PowerPoint
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas to potentially non-technical audience
  • 0-3 years of actuarial experience, P&C experience an asset
  • Working knowledge of R and/or Python an asset
