Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering / Senior Technical Product Owner to join their team and play a crucial role in the creation of artifacts for a multi-vendor platform being built for our large client wave. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent writing skills, and a deep understanding of conceptual architecture, service blueprints, security architecture, and process flows.

Responsibilities:

  1. Artifact Creation: Lead the effort to create essential artifacts such as Conceptual Architecture, Service Blueprints, Security Architecture, and Process Flows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure these artifacts are comprehensive, well-documented, and aligned with the project's objectives.
  2. Technical Expertise: Bring your strong technical acumen to the table and provide valuable insights during the development and implementation of the multi-vendor platform. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to enhance the platform's performance and scalability.
  3. API/Integrations: Demonstrate a deep understanding of API design and integration principles. Work closely with the development team to define API requirements, standards, and best practices to ensure seamless integration with external systems.
  4. AWS Knowledge: Leverage your expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to architect, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure for the platform. Implement best practices for security, availability, and performance optimization on AWS.
  5. Messaging Queues: Design and implement efficient and robust messaging queues to enable asynchronous communication between various components of the platform. Ensure message reliability and fault tolerance.
  6. UI/UX (Figma): Collaborate with UX designers to understand user requirements and help translate them into functional and visually appealing user interfaces. Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools will be valuable in providing feedback and reviewing design mock-ups.
  7. Vendor Management: As a multi-vendor platform is being developed, coordinate with different vendors to align their efforts with the project's technical requirements and standards.
  8. Team Collaboration: Act as a technical leader and bridge the gap between engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and understanding between these groups to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in UI/UX design tools like Figma to review and provide feedback on user interface designs.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong expertise in creating artifacts like Conceptual Architecture, Service Blueprints, Security Architecture, and Process Flows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Proven experience in a senior technical role, such as Director of Engineering or Technical Product Owner.
  • Familiarity with messaging queues and asynchronous communication patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience with API design, integrations, and RESTful principles.
