Job purpose

Manage all corporate and external facets of finance and accounting, financial reporting and analysis, asset and risk management, and administration. As a member of the Leadership Team this important role collaborates with Team members to identify and design operational and financial programs to drive market share growth. This important role also attends portions of Quarterly Board meetings and Ownership group meetings.

Duties and responsibilities

·Establish and recommend major financial objectives, including EBITDA, budgets, etc. for the company and franchisees.

·Develop, monitor, and evolve the financial reporting structure for the entire organization as needed to provide support in decision making.

·Manage AR & AP and journal entries in SAGE, produce reports.

·Develop and maintain an audit mechanism for franchised locations, develop and maintain a procedure for franchise reporting of financial statements to ensure compliance.

·Provide benchmarks and targets for financial success among all areas of the company along with corporate and franchised locations.

·Participate in negotiated payment terms with suppliers regularly to optimize revenue generation for the company.

·Present business proposals to lending institutions to acquire new financing that will meet the needs of the company.

·Identify opportunities for increased fiscal effectiveness and efficiency, and develop and implement solutions

·Monitor and manage cash flow levels of all bank accounts for the company

·Prepare and analyze reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position for all departments and corporate stores in areas of income, expenses and expected operations by 4-week period, quarterly and annually.

·Assists President with fiscal planning by developing and monitoring budgets, business financial results and allocating resources accordingly.Participates in annual sales revenue forecasting and formulating annual G&A plan.

·Prepare company books and records for year-end review and engagement.

·Maintain all annual returns and minute books for the corporations.

·Sponsor, lead and/or participate in special projects to identify improvements in functional areas and across departments.

·Liaise with IT partners to oversee Topper’s office IT.

·Represent the organization in negotiations with external agencies and organizations.

·Provideeffective financial controls for the group of companies

·Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

·CPA, CMA or CA Certificate

·A minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and accounting

·Proven ability to analyze financial data and help the development

·Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically excel

·Experience using SAGE 300 is considered an asset

·Detail oriented coupled with strong organization skills and people leadership experience

·Ability to prioritized and manage time effectively and efficiently

·Excellent problem-solving skills and abilities
