Your New Role
As Development Accountant, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and conducting financial analysis to ensure all projects are on track. You will monitor project budgets, expenses, and cash flows to maintain financial goals and meet deadlines. You will complete full-cycle accounting and month-end close. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders, prepare reports, assist in project proposals, conduct feasibility studies and ensure compliance, regulations and internal policies are met. Staying updated on industry trends is crucial for success in this role.
What Sets You Apart
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA is preferred. You will have at least 3 years of proven work experience as a Development Accountant, preferably with commercial and residential real estate experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and project budgeting is essential as is proficiency in financial modeling and Yardi Job Cost software. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, pay meticulous attention to detail and be able to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Effective communication skills are crucial to collaborate with stakeholders and present financial information clearly. Strong organizational and time management abilities will contribute to success in this role.
