We are looking to meet with folks who are seeking a Dental Administrator that wants a long term position in the dental field. This opportunity involves getting to work with patients, dental specialists and having a great work-life balance in the Toronto and surrounding area. This posting is not for a specific position, but to reach out proactively to talent in the Toronto area for both long-term and short-term opportunities.

As a dental administrator, you'll be the first person patients engage with when they enter, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, correspond with the office via email or phone, perform data entry using different dental softwares, and more. To be successful in this role, you must be someone who is highly motivated, a team player, and have worked in dental environments before! Having strong leadership skills, the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment, and work well under pressure are all assets.

Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinating meetings and staff events
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory
  • Providing administrative and clerical support
  • Engaging in email, phone, and fax correspondence
  • Maintenance of client database records
Qualifications
  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)
  • Ability to deal with varying personalities of internal and external clients / patients, caregivers and healthcare providers
  • At least 1-year experience in a dental setting is preferred
  • Organizational and administrative skills required to perform activities in a deadline-driven environment, working with constant interruptions
  • Ability to receive direction from multiple individuals
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel)
