- Location: Calgary, AB | Hybrid (4 days in the office, one day at home)

- Build and foster a One Team environment where all site stakeholders, working group members and oversight team participants are working towards one plan and aligned objectives.
- Represent escalations, concerns, change requests and proposals from initiative working groups and oversight teams to the Digital Enablement Office (DEO)
- Develop, retain, and steward the strategy and roadmap for digital capability growth within the data management and analytics domains
- Ensure initiative plans, proposals, recommendations, and risks are well defined, supported by data, and documented to allow for efficient review and decision-making by governing bodies.
- Work in partnership with Downstream leaders, site functions, and stakeholders to manage business requirements and designs supporting ops data management and applied analytics
- Fulfill Business ownership accountabilities for the initiatives within role purview, their long-term success, and contribution to the organization
- Engage and coordinate with key domain experts and representatives from each Downstream site and IT to develop an aligned plan, architecture, and approach for digital capability implementation related to integrated ops data management that will establish consistent patterns and methods for process data integration, data engineering, analysis, and reporting.
- Pull together and represent Downstream Manufacturing business interests on behalf of all Downstream sites through all phases of workstream initiative execution including production deployment, implementation of sustainment strategies, and long-term lifecycle management
- Develop stakeholder partnerships and strategies to ensure program activities are collaboratively scoped and thoroughly planned with consideration to overall Cenovus and site activities.
- Actively lead and coordinate applicable digital initiative working groups, working with project managers and the Digital Enablement Office to drive thorough project execution and risk management
- Promote data management and data governance philosophies within the DSM organization
- Drive and ensure alignment of a cross-functional oversight team within the Digital Enablement Program governance model
- Experience with management of large time-series data sets
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups
- Strong operational business acumen (Downstream or Upstream)
- Experience with data visualization and advanced data science platforms
- Experience with PI AF and PI Analysis server development and support
- Excellent project management, scheduling, and time management skills
- Ability to influence at multiple levels and across diverse stakeholder groups
- Proven experience with large technology implementations, application deployment or system migrations
- Ability to advance culture of performance improvement through structured work processes that are relevant, reportable, and measurable
- Experience providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team
- Experience with cloud solutions and/or certification specifically with AWS and Azure is an asset
- Deep technical understanding of DCS technologies, data historians, data infrastructure, process automation, cloud solutions, data engineering and data utilization /management
- Demonstrated experience with reliability and maintenance business process development and continuous improvement
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to travel on a semi-frequent basis
- Well-developed communication, and interpersonal skills
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
- Experience with PI data historians, DataParc, and their interfaces to enterprise systems
- Understanding of data science concepts and use.
- Minimum 8 years of direct work experience with process control systems, industrial automation systems and process data management
- BSc in Engineering or equivalent is required
- Minimum 16 years work experience within the Energy industry with special consideration given to direct upgrading and refining experience
