OVERVIEW:
Alberta Blue Cross currently has an exciting opportunity for Data Stewards within the Enterprise Data Office. Data Stewards play a vital role in managing and ensuring the quality, integrity, and availability of our data assets. You will be responsible for operationalizing data governance practices, maintaining data standards and supporting data-related initiatives. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Define data quality standards and rules for a domain of expertise.
• Develop strong understanding of the structure, content and templates of the Alberta Blue Cross Data Management Playbook.
• Lead issue resolution and manage changes in rules or standards.
• Implement data management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance to standards.
• Create data management artifacts and complete templates for the selected data elements within initial scope.
• Classify data elements based on business rules and access guidelines.
• Create business definitions by working with subject matter experts to ensure terms are clearly defined and meet requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

• Experience with Azure Purview is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Record Management, Knowledge Management or Library and Information Studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Data Management Certificate from NAIT is an asset.
• Experience in insurance or finance is an asset.
• Detail oriented with solid problem solving and analytical skills.
