Role

The purpose of this role is to work with the International Sites/BT to gather, analyze, cleanse and standardize Master data as needed within Site/Global initiatives in an effort to improve the quality of Sysco’s data and drive Global harmonization. This work is also a critical enabler to drive the PGM (Partnership Growth Management) Initiative across our International markets.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analysis on various Business initiatives in efforts to create efficiencies and improvement and present to the sites.
• Work with International Sysco Sites and relevant stakeholders within those countries to collate data to a defined cadence.
• Ensure data collated is accurate and comparable across markets, i.e. to aligned definitions.
• Assist Sites with data standardization projects that help to move forward Global initiatives.
• Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
• Collaborate with the Business Technology organization to ensure data integrity and data security compliant to Sysco’s needs.
• Work with relevant stakeholders (both in-country – e.g. finance contacts, and centrally – e.g. Business Technology) to maintain data in a viable database for onward reporting.
• Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform data mining, cleansing, and manipulation; identify necessary data elements and their sources, leverage appropriate tools to acquire and consolidate large volumes of data from different sources (including syndicated data).
• Work with Sites/Suppliers to collect Master data as required for Global initiatives.
• Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
• Oversee, develop, and deploy new tools and technologies as needed to support the role.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About You)

• Experience with data extraction from various sources.
• 3-5 years experience in a complex data / analytical role ideally within a food / foodservice / retail environment.
• Programming knowledge and experience in Python.
• Fluency in French, Swedish or Spanish is an asset.
• College degree/diploma in information systems or data Analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
• Strong comprehension for writing SQL and working with databases.
