Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Audits existing contracts and monitors/follows up on contract modifications.
  • Trains and supervises other contract professionals.
  • Supervises the execution of the contract.
  • Identifies potential enhancements to existing policies.
  • Prepares contract status reports for management.
  • Deals with client and subcontractors.
  • Team: No people under your supervision currently.
  • Maintains a computer database for the company's contract management system.
  • Leads complex contract negotiations and manages all changes and additions to existing contracts.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
  • Ensures that company objectives are met through contract execution.
  • Communicates contract performance to the PM.
  • Ensures contracts are in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Analyzes all contract requirements and provisions, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with the finance department to ensure proper billing and collection of contract revenue.
  • Your main duties and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following: • Budget to handle +50MM CAD in electrical work on the bridge (Gordie Howe International Bridge).
  • Analyzes the risk of a contract to the company.
  • Ensures contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Conducts analysis of new laws, regulations, and contract trends to determine potential impact on the business.
  • Negotiates and monitors agreements.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Experience leading negotiations of complex construction contracts and manages all changes and additions to existing contracts.
  • + 5 years of experience working on construction projects with costs over $20MD.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
  • Experience in bridge construction projects is a plus.
  • Experience in electrical construction projects is a plus.
  • Legal background with construction experience
  • Experience in dealing with the customer and subcontractors in construction projects


The person will be required to live for two years in Windsor, Ontario. If the person hired lives in another city, the company offers a relocation package.
