Job Description

Embedded within CTC’s Brand and Customer department and reporting into the Community Impact & Sports Partnerships team. The consultant, Community Impact will support CTC’s ongoing community impact initiatives and implementation of our new community impact strategy.


The ideal candidate brings experience in partnerships, social impact, diversity and inclusion, and communications with a proven track record for rallying cross functional teams to meet shared goals. The individual brings an entrepreneurial mindset and has experience working in matrixed organizations. They will use their experience and passion in the space to educate and influence those around them to create value for our brands, our customers, employees, dealers and investors. This is an opportunity to flex multiple skills including strategy, brand development, marketing communications, and stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Do


Working collaboratively with teams from Strategic Marketing, Communications, Dealers, Sustainability, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging and other cross functional teams within the organization, the role will:


  • Support the integration and implementation of CTC’s new community impact strategy across the organization
  • Track budgets, partnership investments and donations across family of companies
  • Support key initiatives across the community investment strategy including corporate giving, employee volunteering, social impact initiatives [i.e. new Canadians, sport & youth, grassroots support]
  • Support development of clear and consistent communications and marketing for customers, employees and other key stakeholders specific to community impact initiatives
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain documentation related to community impact activities for the department and by Dealers, employees and business units
  • Conduct research and inform on trends on social impact-related issues, including: wellbeing, mental health, diversity, equity and inclusion, employment, social barriers and income inequality
  • Lead initiatives and partnerships to help bring the new strategy to life including working with external partners and agencies
  • Support CTC ESG team on Community Impact reporting, disclosures, Board reporting, etc. to ensure consistent measurement and reporting of community impact progress and impact


What You Bring


  • Experience in mass retail and/or a publicly traded organization an asset
  • Passion for social impact and social issues, and a belief in the importance of corporate actions to drive positive change
  • An advanced degree in business, social sciences, sustainability, etc is considered an asset
  • Experience writing and creating presentations for senior leaders
  • Experience in an agency, non profit, charity or partner management role is considered an asset
  • Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to managing complex situations
  • 2 - 5 years of directly relevant corporate and/or non-profit experience
