Job Description
Breakthru Beverage Canada (BBC) is the leading Sales Broker in the Canadian marketplace representing suppliers such Diageo, Casamigos, Aquilini Brand, Lucas Bols. As a Consignment Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling world class wine brands within our Apex portfolio including Piper-Heidsieck, Charles Heidsieck, Rare Champagne, Biondi Santi, Bibi Graetz, Henschke, Elk Cove, Scarpetta Wines, Carpano and others . Additionally, you will be accountable for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, maximizing sales of assigned portfolio brands through excellent planning and execution towards the achievement of company and supplier objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Work with supplier representatives and members of management in the field to promote sales
  • Manage assigned budget as required.
  • Effectively plan on a daily, weekly, or monthly/quarterly basis, to achieve targets for share, volume, distribution and customer service levels.
  • Host a range of events and experiences for customers including on-premise, corporate and consumer
  • Prospect new business within your dedicated territory
  • Collaborate with our total beverage alcohol team members/stakeholders to align and capitalize on sales growth opportunities
  • Execute sales calls using the company’s Structured Call methodology.
  • Educate / train on-premises teams to maximize knowledge, drive distribution, improve visibility and increase sales
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Conduct product sampling
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the on-premise: F&B Directors and Managers, Business Owners and Sommeliers- to drive ongoing business performance.
  • Report on competitive activities within the territory and offer constructive suggestions
Qualifications
  • WSET or Sommelier Certification
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • Excellent Negotiation and Influencing Skills
  • Self-starter with attention to details
  • 3 or more years’ selling experience in wine industry.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, listening and written
  • Sound knowledge of the sale and marketing of wine
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Liquor Board Regulations, market trends and competition
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skill
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
