About The Opportunity
The Scheduler reports to the Health Services Manager and is responsible for scheduling staff at Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital and Musquodoboit Valley Home for Special Care (Braeside). The position would create master schedules and replace staffing as per collective agreements. The scheduler does data entry for payroll for both sites as well system configuration, pay cycle processes, off cycle activities and reports for payroll at the long term care facility.

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Knowledge of payroll systems (Time Capture, Ceridian)
- Demonstrated ability to deal with numerous interruptions and continuous change an asset
- Knowledge of NSH policies, procedures and collective agreements
- Ability to mulit-task
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Proficiency with all components of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
- Grade 12 plus completion of a one year Office Administration and/or payroll administration course
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, strong attention to detail
- Knowledge and experience with payroll, scheduling and employee benefits
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- One year experience in a health care setting; experience in long term care preferred

Hours
- Beginning as soon as possible with an expected end date of January 15, 2024
- Long Assignment Full-time (100%) position, 70 hours Bi-Weekly
- Dates are subject to change
- Day/ Evening/ Weekend shifts
